Egg Kevin's House How to Get the Speedrunner Badge

Speedrunner asks you to complete Egg Kevin’s House in under 8 minutes 30 seconds. The in-game description excludes Inadvertent Hero and Perished. Those two look like the fastest files in the universe. They do not count. If your clock hits 1:12 on a rock-throw and nothing pops, that is the exclusion working as written, not a broken badge.

This is a constraint badge, like Silence. The plot you attach it to is usually a basement clear: Pacifist, Team Billy, Team Kevin, or Warmonger. Firefighter is a QTE tax. ??? is a crow tax. Do those slow.

Eligible versus excluded

Counts (if you actually finish): Pacifist, Warmonger, Team Billy, Team Kevin, Rescued, Future Firefighter (slow QTE, not recommended), and a fragment Pacifist if you are a masochist.

Does not count: Inadvertent Hero (rock in the prologue). Perished (idle death in the basement after helping).

Rescued is technically a finish. It is a long sit. Do not use it for the clock.

A route that fits the timer

1. Join the live place. Pick a Sam you can move.
2. Help egg. Do not hunt the ridge crow.
3. Click every subtitle. Click-to-skip is the intended speed tool in post-2023 builds. It is not Silence. Controls.
4. Night 1: basement door interact, no extra rooms.
5. Dream: pipe, fragment tree skipped, exit.
6. Night 2: first legal noise, leave.
7. Night 3: headphones, knife, cut you, cut Billy (or don’t, if Warmonger is your muscle memory), stairs, spare or stab, done.

Most people who already finished Pacifist once can sit in the 6–8 minute band with skip-clicks. The fail is sightseeing, not mechanics.

What blows the clock

• Fridge / TV / crow fragments. That is the ??? page.
• Reading Kevin’s speeches for lore. Save lore for a talking file.
• Executor speedhacks. Ban math on a story place is a joke. Executor safety.
• Practicing firefighter QTE “just in case.” Wrong save.
• Dying in the basement to “see Perished real quick.” Excluded, and you already spent the night.

Practice plan

Run one noisy Pacifist so your hands know the door order (walkthrough). Then a Silence file if you still need that badge. Then the timed file with skip only. Do not stack Silence + Speedrunner until both are easy alone.

Timer starts when the place loads, not when you mentally decide to try. Close the Roblox menu. Don’t tab to this wiki mid-run; print the three-beat card from the ending path tool first.

Studio notes: skip-click arrived in the fragment-era quality pass, so a 2023 longplay that never clicks text is a bad speed reference. Changelog. Last listing bump 13 January 2026 did not change the 8:30 window.

What “complete the game” means here

The badge wants a finished status card under 8:30 on an allowed plot. Walking to the credits of Inadvertent Hero is completing a game, just not this award. Same for dying tied in the basement: the place ends, the award does not. If your card prints and the clock is 8:29 on Pacifist, wait a few seconds for Roblox inventory. If nothing arrives, you either opened the menu long enough to push over the line, or you were on an excluded ending and misread the board.

Practice the Fun Dungeon knife spawn until your hand goes to the table without looking. That is the only mechanical hitch on a skip file. Everything else is navigation. Pair with getting started if you still hesitate at the egg prompt, and with all badges so Speedrunner sits at the end of the collection order instead of the start.
