How to Play Egg Kevin's House
A clean first run before you hunt Pacifist or ???.
Egg Kevin’s House is a free Roblox story-horror from TinyTales. You play Sam. Billy is furious because Kevin got him in trouble at school after Billy stuck gum in Kevin’s hair. Billy wants you to egg the house. The listing sounds like a prank. It is not. One candle on a windowsill turns the joke into a fire, Margaret may die, and the next chapter jumps twenty years.
This getting-started page is the onboarding pass. It does not list every ending beat — that is all endings. It does not list fragment coordinates — that is the ??? route. It tells you how to enter the place, how the first ten minutes work, and which habits waste a run.
How to open the game
- Join from the official Roblox listing or the Play button on this wiki.
- The place is single-player. Server size is 1. You cannot bring a friend into the same instance.
- On first spawn, pick a presentation for Sam (the game treats this as a gender prompt). Most of the plot is the same. The exception is the Future Firefighter quick-time: male Sam must hit three keys at once, female Sam hits keys in sequence. If you are on mobile, taps replace keys.
- Watch the opening walk. Billy talks. Do not mash through the first choice unless you already know which badge you want.
PC, mobile, and console all work. Voice chat is off. Camera is off. Maturity is moderate fear and occasional violence. If you only wanted a slapstick egg-throwing obby, the tone shift at the candle is the point.
The prologue fork (the only choice that rewrites the whole file)
Billy asks you to help. You have three useful families of action:
- Help him egg the house. This is the “main” file. The egg hits the candle, the house burns, Margaret screams, you run. Twenty years later you return as a ghost-hunting crew with Steven. Almost every basement ending lives on this branch. If you also want key fragments, you still help — you just spend an egg (or the rock) on a crow first. Details: secret ending.
- Pick up the rock and hit Billy. You become the Inadvertent Hero. The egging never happens. Kevin’s mother lives. The revenge plot never starts. Fast badge, tiny story.
- Refuse, then run into the fire when the candle falls anyway. That is how Future Firefighter begins. Billy still causes the fire. You try to drag Margaret out. Succeed and the news calls you a hero. Fail and adult Sam carries burn marks into the later nights.
If this is truly your first session, help Billy, explore, and take a “normal” basement ending such as Pacifist. Then reset for the hero routes. The walkthrough assumes you helped and survived into Night 1.
What the nights are
After the time skip, Sam, Billy, and Steven treat the burnt house like content. Night 1 is exploration: kitchen, bedrooms, and a basement door that once said Fun Dungeon and later reads more like a warning. Interact with that door before Night 3 if you care about fragment three. Night 2 is a recording: you must make a loud noise (pipe, slammed door, or wall). Night 3 is the trap. Steven is gone. You pick up headphones. Kevin knocks you out, ties you in the basement, and restages the fire.
You will find a knife. You cut your own ropes. Then you decide whether to cut Billy’s, whether to grab fragment five behind a box, and whether to throw the knife at Kevin outside. Those three beats, plus whether you helped in 2003, write the status board. Rank the outcomes later on the endings tier list.
Habits that waste the first hour
- Skipping every line on the first file. You will miss that Billy left gum outside as proof, and the Rescued tape will make less sense.
- Ignoring the ridge behind you during the egging. The corner crow drops fragment one.
- Treating this like a tycoon. There is no code wheel, no hatch, no trading plaza. The codes hub exists because people search for it, not because TinyTales runs weekly drops.
- Installing a random executor because a thumbnail promised “all badges.” Read scripts first. Dialogue is already skippable by clicking the text in current builds.
- Mixing Future Firefighter and ??? on the same mental checklist. Firefighter ends in 2003. ??? needs the adult basement and a spared Kevin.
Where to go next
Play one honest file. Then open the walkthrough if a night stalled you, controls if input feels vague, and badges if you are collecting. Character pages for Kevin, Billy, Sam, and Steven explain why the status board names those four. Official group and Discord sit under links. Studio history is on the changelog.
The mid-article video is a real decision-driven playthrough, not a fabricated ID. Use it to see the tone; use the text for the forks the commentary skips.
