Egg Kevin's House How to Get the ??? Ending

The ??? ending is the reason people replay Egg Kevin’s House after Pacifist. TinyTales added it on 7 May 2023. You still play the adult revenge file — this is not Future Firefighter and not Inadvertent Hero — but you loot five key fragments, free Billy, and refuse to kill Kevin. The fragments melt in the burning Fun Dungeon, a door unlocks, and Steven is tied to a chair while the fire closes in. The card may still say Pacifist. The badge is ??? with no public description.

Rules that fail the cutscene

• Killing Kevin after you grabbed all five pieces. Steven is not shown.
• Leaving Billy to burn after piece five. You must save him immediately after the box.
• Skipping the basement door on Night 1 or 2. Piece three’s dream window is tied to acknowledging Fun Dungeon / Do Not Enter before Night 3.
• Trying to bolt this onto a successful Margaret rescue. Firefighter never reaches these nights.

Fragment 1 — twenty years prior (the ridge)

During the prologue, turn around. Crows sit on the plateau behind Sam and Billy. Throw an egg or the rock at the crow closest to the corner — the one with a gray or reddish extra on it. The bird drops the shard. Pick it up before you empty the rest of your eggs into the windows. You can still help Billy after this. You should. ??? needs the revenge plot.

Fragment 2 — Night 1, fridge

When you can roam the burnt house, go to the kitchen and move behind the refrigerator. The second piece is on the floor in that gap. If collision is awkward on mobile, inch along the wall; do not reset the night. Interact with the basement door the same night if you can, so fragment three is eligible.

Fragment 3 — dream, pipe, tree

In the dream:

1. Bedroom.
2. Metal pipe.
3. Break the window next to the bedside table (not a random pane in the living room).
4. Outside, the shard is behind a tree.
5. Re-enter and use the basement door to end the dream.

No pipe, no window. No window, no tree. Players who smash furniture on Night 1 looking for this piece are on the wrong night.

Fragment 4 — Night 2, fallen TV

Before you make the loud noise for Steven’s camera, check the living room. The fourth piece is behind the fallen television. Grab it, then slam the door, kick the pipe, or pound the cracked wall. Noise options are listed in the walkthrough and on controls.

Fragment 5 — Fun Dungeon, box by the door

Night 3. Headphones. Knockout. Kevin’s speech. Fire. Cut your ropes. Turn to the boxes near the exit. Piece five is there. Then cut Billy free. Do not pose for the knife throw yet. Do not wander upstairs without Billy if you want Steven’s door. After you both exit, spare Kevin. The melt cutscene plays in the basement you just left.

What the ending actually shows

Shards fuse into a key. A locked room opens. Steven is alive on the status sheet and visibly not safe. The game hard-cuts to To Be Continued. TinyTales has not shipped a sequel chapter as of the January 2026 place update. Treat Steven’s “Alive” flag as incomplete information, not a promise. His page: Steven. Badge and routing notes

• ??? can overlap Pacifist on the same file.
• Speedrunner may still be possible if you are fast, but hunting crows and fridges fights the clock. Do a clean timed run separately — badges.
• Silence is compatible in theory if you only click ”…” while still grabbing pieces. It is a miserable way to learn locations. Learn the route on a talking file first.
• Inadvertent Hero’s rock throw can still hit the crow if you are careful, but cancelling the egging cancels the basement, so you will not finish ??? on that file.
