Egg Kevin's House How to Beat Future Firefighter
Save Margaret in 2003 so Kevin never becomes the basement antagonist.
Future Firefighter is the only Egg Kevin’s House file where Margaret lives and Kevin never grows into the taped-glasses kidnapper. TinyTales shipped it on 5 August 2024, long after the original badge set. You do not collect fragments. You do not meet adult Steven. You interrupt the house fire in the prologue and drag Kevin’s mother out before the news cycle writes a tragedy.
This is a “how to protect” guide. Basement boards stay on all endings. First-run habits stay on getting started.
Setup
- Start a new file. Pick Sam’s presentation knowing the QTE difficulty changes (below).
- Walk to the house with Billy. You can refuse to throw eggs. Billy will throw anyway.
- When the candle falls and the interior blooms orange, choose to run inside. Standing in the yard, filming, or chasing Billy toward the street ends this route.
- Margaret is on the floor. A wheelchair in the room is the visual reason she cannot self-rescue. Choose to help.
If you never get a “run inside” prompt, you accidentally took Inadvertent Hero by hitting Billy with the rock, which cancels the fire. Reload.
The quick-time pull
The game switches to a TellTale-style prompt. Letters appear. You must press them to keep hauling Margaret toward the door.
- Female Sam: press the shown keys one after another. Easier on keyboard, still easy to fail on a laggy mobile session.
- Male Sam: prompts expect three keys at once. Console users should map this in their head before the fire starts. Mobile users tap the on-screen glyphs, not the physical letters, as confirmed in community clips.
Succeed: you clear the doorway. A reporter interviews Sam. Billy is detained after fleeing the scene. The board lists Billy alive (arson/flight), Margaret alive (saved by Sam), Sam alive (ran in), Kevin alive and never villain-coded — flavor text even parks him living quietly (community recaps say Nevada). Steven and the Fun Dungeon do not appear because they are twenty years away.
Fail the QTE: Margaret dies. The game can continue into the normal time skip. Adult Sam may show burn marks under the eyes. Kevin’s revenge plot returns. That fail-forward is not the Future Firefighter badge. Do not confuse “I tried to be a hero” with the ending named Future Firefighter.
Why people miss the badge
- They enter the house but do not commit to the help prompt, then die or wander until the prologue ends.
- They complete the QTE on a file that already used Inadvertent Hero logic. You cannot both bean Billy with a rock and also need a fire to save Margaret from.
- They watch a 2023 all-badges video. Magib’s original all-badges upload predates this ending; the dedicated firefighter video is the one embedded here.
- They mix Xbox letter prompts with on-screen prompts. Trust the glyphs the place draws, not a PC screenshot.

How this ending ranks and who it saves
On the endings tier list this route scores high as a moral interrupt and low as a story length. You skip Kevin’s entire adult characterization — read Kevin anyway so you know what you prevented. Margaret has no full character page; her wheelchair, the fire, and this QTE are most of her screen time. Billy still caused the fire and still runs; Billy does not become a ghost-hunt ringleader here.
If your goal is 100% badges, do this file separately from ???. Fragments need the basement. Firefighter deletes the basement. Speedrunner rules exclude some short endings; check badges before you try to time a 3-minute hero run for that specific award.
